Starting in the 4th CH from the hook, work HDC, CH 1, HDC. *Skip 2 CH, then work HDC, CH 1, HDC into the next chain. Repeat from * to end of row. CH 2 and turn.
ROW 2
In the 1st CH 1 space of the previous row, between the HDCs, work HDC, CH 1, HDC. *SK 2 stitches, then work HDC, CH 1, HDC in next CH 1 space. Repeat from * across the row with one HDC into the top of the turning chain. CH2. Turn.
