What Is the Crumpled Griddle Crochet Stitch?

If you’ve ever worked the Griddle Stitch then this stitch will seem familiar. It’s alternating single crochets and double crochets, but where you work doubles in single and singles in double in the griddle, you work singles in single and double in doubles in the crumpled griddle stitch.

This stitch creates a wonderfully dense fabric without becoming rigid. It’s suitable for color work and loads of different projects.
